From dining, shopping and recreational activities, the Orlando, Florida Resort has it all. Of course, if you’re visiting during the warmer months, you’ll definitely want to visit Typhoon Lagoon and Blizzard Beach, the two amazing water parks.

Unfortunately, guests were unable to visit blizzard beach as Disney had previously announced, it would be closed for an extended renovation. Typhoon Lagoon and Blizzard Beach typically closes each year during the winter months for renovations during the low season. However, Disney has remained silent on the official reopening of Blizzard Beach. When we look at the Station calendarthe closure extends at least until the end of December.

During the closure, we closely monitored the water park, and recently, a new picture of ariel captured by bioreconstruct (@bioreconstruct) showed the current status of the water park:

Aerial look at Blizzard Beach. Crane removed. Crane had been used for the renovation of Teamboat Springs and the addition of a new inner tube return at Runoff Rapids.

As you can see, the wide aerial shot shows the entire water park. A crane would have been removed from the site, as this part of the renovation is now complete. We hope to see Blizzard Beach working again in the coming months.

Disney’s Blizzard Beach is full of unique and one-of-a-kind attractions that are fun for all ages! From the relaxing Cross Country Creek lazy river to the iconic Summit Plummet, there is a wide variety of experiences for everyone. Check out our ultimate guide to Blizzard Beach here.
