San Antonio, Nov 05, 2021 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) – Chip Fulghum, COO of San Antonio-headquartered national service organization Endeavors, has been recognized by the San Antonio Business Journal as the 2021 recipient of the Veterans in Business.

The annual Veterans in Business Awards honor individuals in the Greater San Antonio area who are veterans, veterans, retired veterans, or those currently in reserve in the United States military.

Recognized during a sit-down breakfast on Thursday, November 4, 2021 at the McNay Art Museum, Fulghum was announced among the recipients of the 2021 Veterans in Business Award for his outstanding business practices and for supporting fellow veterans in the midst of job. and beyond.

As the COO of Endeavors, an organization of more than 2,000 employees that provides a range of programs and services supporting children, families, veterans and those living with mental illness, a disability, disaster or emergency, Fulghum is leading efforts on a variety of important initiatives. Among those related to veterans, Fulghum has helped the company make significant strides in improving services for veterans who are homeless, affected by COVID-19, or in need of mental health care. Additionally, he was part of the team that developed, built and implemented the concept of San Antonio’s first Veteran Wellness Center, scheduled to open on November 11, 2021.

Fulghum’s military career spanned 28 years, where he reached the rank of colonel in the US Air Force. He is a graduate of Air War College, Air Command and Staff College, Military Controller Vocational School, and Squadron Officer School. He holds an MBA from Golden Gate University in San Francisco, California, and a BA in History from Citadel in Charleston, South Carolina. Prior to joining Endeavors in 2019, Fulghum served as Assistant Deputy Secretary for Management at the Department of Homeland Security.
