Four people were injured and at least 10 were trapped in Ramban district of Jammu and Kashmir on Thursday night after part of a tunnel under construction collapsed.
A small section of the Khooni Nallah tunnel collapsed while a construction audit was underway, PTI said citing unidentified officials. The tunnel is located on the national road Jammu-Srinagar.
Several machines and trucks were damaged after the collapse.
ten workers are missing after the tunnel collapsed, the Jammu and Kashmir Disaster Management Authority said, according to ANI.
Visuals from ANI showed an excavator engaged in rescue operations and an ambulance standing at the site.

Five workers who are trapped inside the tunnel are residents of West Bengal, PTI reported. They have been identified as Jadav Roy (23), Gautam Roy (22), Sudhir Roy (31), Dipak Roy (33) and Parimal Roy (38). Shiva Chowhn (26) is from Assam. Others trapped include Nepalese citizens Nawaraj Chowdhury (26) and Kushi Ram (25). Two residents of Jammu and Kashmir, Muzaffar (38) and Israt (30), are also stuck inside the tunnel.
Deputy Commissioner Ramban Massaratul Islam and Chief Superintendent of Police Mohita Sharma visited the site to oversee rescue operations.
Union Minister Jitendra Singh said rescue operations were underway and city officials and police authorities were monitoring the situation. Two workers were rescued, he added.
