Kate Middleton teams up with Roger Federer for a new project


Kate Middleton and tennis star Roger Federer are teaming up for an exciting new venture to raise money for underprivileged children.

Kate Middleton has confirmed that she will be teaming up with 20-time Grand Slam winner Roger Federer for a charity collaboration that will raise funds for vulnerable and disadvantaged children.

The pair will team up for the Laver Cup “Open Day Practice,” which takes place at The O2 on September 22 and will allow fans to watch Federer and other tennis pros practice for the upcoming Laver tournament. All proceeds from the tickets will be shared between the charities Action for Children and the LTA Foundation, of which Kate is a patron.

Taking to Twitter to break the news, Federer tweeted: “Delighted to announce that Laver Cup is partnering with the Duchess of Cambridge this year to raise money for two amazing charities – @actionforchildrenuk and the @LTA Tennis Foundation .

“Thank you for your support, and can’t wait to see you in London!” – With the Duchess of Cambridges official account also retweeting the post.

This project is very dear to Kate because she is not only the mother of three children, but also a tennis enthusiast. It was also revealed that her children Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis have taken up tennis. Royal fans were delighted with the new project and were quick to share their support for Federer’s message. One fan tweeted: “Awesome!! I can’t wait to see this partnership”

While another fan remarked, “Such a fun event for wonderful charities!!” with a third fan adding, “How fantastic!! Brilliant news.

Fans have also expressed hope to see Kate’s own tennis skills and they might get lucky as she has already shown off her sporting talents – namely playing football in heels.
